Correlation of DAK-36 Results with HPLC Analysis

The Domoic Acid Screening Test Kit gives equivalent results to those obtained using standard HPLC and FMOC-HPLC methods.  It has successfully measured DA in phytoplankton and razor clams. (Figures 1 and 2 below)  Correlation with HPLC was observed over a broad range of concentrations in both matrices.  Standard extraction methods were used prior to splitting the extracts for analysis by ELISA and HPLC.  Extracts containing high concentrations of DA are determined by appropriate dilution to obtain a relative signal in the ELISA assay between 15% and 85% of the control signal.
